Help students practice forming algebraic expressions, manipulating and rearranging formulae, and simplifying and solving equations with this worksheet for KS3 and KS4.

Featuring nine word problems, including real-world scenarios, students use problem-solving skills to form equations and solve them. Students will also utilise skills from other areas of maths, with questions that include solving consecutive number problems and finding the perimeter of the shape or the size of the angle.

With answers included, this simple activity can be used with KS3 or GCSE maths classes and is suitable for teaching with AQA, Edexcel and OCR exam boards.
