Students will follow the handling data cycle by collecting data from other students in a data collection sheet of their own making, including recording whether the student is female or male. After inputting it into a table, they will display their data using an appropriate diagram, such as a box plot, cumulative frequency graph or histogram. Finally, they will analyse data and draw conclusions.

This resource could be used with all 3 Key stages at secondary dependent on their ability. It was initially designed to be used by Core Maths students comparing male and female measures and habits. It could, however, be used in a class setting if pupils are willing to have their measurements taken by each other.
