Area of simple and compound shapes

This powerpoint resource assumes knowledge of the area of triangles and rectangles. It uses this knowledge to find the area of compound shapes and moves on to finding the area of parallelograms and trapeziums, allowing students to work out the formula independently. At the end of the powerpoint there is a game of bingo for the students to play.
