Areas of shapes on a pinboard.

A short KS3-4 area PowerPoint displaying a set of 3 differentiated versions of the same problem aimed at different levels from early KS3 up to GCSE.

Four 2D shapes are displayed on a pinboard and all students need to show that they have the same area, which they would most likely approach by dividing up the shapes. There is then a second, differentiated, problem is given using either area, perimeter or angles.
