Simple function and inverse problems
Three differentiated resources using function machines to develop the use of function notation.
1. Students use simple function machines to generate outputs from given inputs, using the notation f(x).
2. Students use inverse single-step function machines to find inputs and outputs, using f(x) notation.
3. Students use two-step function machines and their inverses to find inputs and outputs, using f(x) notation. They complete one set of questions without the function machine given.
