Error intervals

This resource asks students to find the error intervals for both rounded and truncated values. It looks at how to show them on a number line and how to use inequality notation.

Sample questions

       1) A pencil measures 7 cm long to the nearest centimetre

  1. What it the shortest length it can be?
  2. What is the longest length?

        2) 31.35 has been truncated to 2 decimal places. State 3 numbers that it could be.
