Coins investigation

Aimed at students studying for the Core Maths qualification, this resource is an investigation into the shape, volume and weight of coins as well as their history. It is a good way to practise using formula for area in calculations, as well as completing research. Extension questions allow practise of 'Fermi Estimation' skills, which are an integral part of the course.
